The Devil's Son....

Well, pretty decent week. Got to tattoo one of my favorite musicians, Bob Wayne...so that was way rad. Actually, got to tattoo him twice. Some other good tattoos. Anyway, cutting this one short, so here are the pics:

This is the first one I did on Bob...

This is the second...

Here is the man himself(and my ugly ass)...

..and here is one of my paintings I did on a good friend of mine. Thanks Devin.

Sometimes I can't help feeling numb...all the time

So, had a pretty damn good week. My best friend is now now my co-worker once again, so it's fucking awesome to be tattooing next to him again. We've been doing a lot of painting...Here are 3 that I did this week:

Had this one lined out for awhile, just could never seem to get into painting it..

Then, yesterday, by some miraculous fate...the guy that does all the engraving for Paco Rollins came into our shop yesterday and set up his equipment...did some sick scratching on our machines...here is how mine came out:

Soooooo sick...

...and this is him hard at work.

If you wish to contact the engraver, his name is Nick Cunningham...you can find him on facebook. He is out of Stephenville, Tx...

Well, I was slow today so I went ahead and did another painting...now it's a 3-piece lil set...thinking about doing 2 more. *shrug*

First is a close up of the newest addition, sorry for the frame glare...

...and here is a shot of all 3 together. Looks pretty legit by my station too.

Sometimesssssss...

Here is a 30 minute 5x7 painting from today...Fucked it up right in the beginning. Meant to color the actual body of the snake black, and accidentally colored the inside of the hood black...so had to improvise. Anyway....

You call it religion, you're full of shit!

Well, here is a quick painting from last night:

Good times...

Pop country fucking sucks...

So...this is not a tattoo related post, but an art post none the less. I took home my paints and shit this weekend and actually managed to accomplish something. Hah. Well, I put together a flash sheet of all Hank III(music) inspired pieces. Enjoy, and thank you for looking.

This was a real fun one to do...

Smoke and Wine...

Wellllll, I finally got a new camera!! Thanks you for the early birthday present Mom! I couldn't wait to use it, so I took a picture of a 48 hour old tattoo...so needless to say, you get to see it mid-heal...fun piece none the less. Did this on our apprentice a couple of days ago. Also, missed about 4 days of work with a gnarly, upper respritory infection, good times. Getting over it now though. Anyhow, I should be posting a lot more work now that I have a decent camera. Thanks for looking.

Fun little adaptation of a Brandon Frasier piece he's(Houston) been wanting...

You picked up a bible...and now you're gone.

Well, here is one I got the chance to do on a walk-in on Saturday night. Still suffering the same camera issues...

Yup...

It's better to be stepped on than left alone...

Well, obviously still dealing with the shitty camera, but I had a chance to do some cool pieces yesterday, so I thought I would share...

First we have one of my paintings as a foot tattoo on a good friend of mine, Devin. Thanks bud.

Next up was Devin's lil friend...this was his first tattoo. Actually had to talk him out of a plain ass heart/banner. :p Thanks man, hope it was as good for you as it was for me. hehe.

...and that was it for yesterday since I left work early, due to being under the weather.

At the end of this long rope...I am hanging weight.

Well, here is a quick one from this weekend. I actually ended up doing a handful of nice pieces this weekend, but did not get a single good, usable picture. So, here is this one, and it still isn't that great of a photo. :/

This was done on the receptionist's friend again, adjacent to the 'dear john' piece from earlier in the week. I think I'll just stop taking photos until I get my new camera...

...

Well, as these pictures will most certainly let on...I am in need of a better camera, desperately. I debated about even posting these due to my horrible photography skills, and my cameras complete lack of greatness..I'm going to post them none the less though, so here ya go:

This was done on a nice lady from Cambridge, England...had a lot of fun doing it.

This one was done on our shop receptionist's friend. She basically let me do what I wanted to, so I went with something Max Kuhn inspired me to do, had fun with this one as well...

I'm a Man of Constant Sorrow...

Well, I got canceled on at the last minute so I went ahead and did a little watercolor painting to trade to Max Kuhn(Golden Spiral Tattoo, Greensboro, NC)...Here it is:

I like this one...could have done without the blue though.

Bleeding brail bibles onto brothel bedspreads...

Well, got to see the Pixies last night...great show. Also, here are a few pieces from this last week.

First, here is a tattoo(todd noble piece that he liked) I finally got to complete on Eric:

and here is one I finally got a chance to do on one of my bosses, Jesus:

This was a really fun piece, thanks J...

and here was a fun quick little walk-in piece I got to do on Saturday...

New blog...

Well, I'm new to the whole blogging thing, but figured this would be a much more organized place for me to post some of my work. Suppose, I'll start with a short introduction: I'm 26. I have been tattooing a year(plus an eighteen month apprenticeship), and I work at The Tattoo Ranch in Fort Worth, Texas. My favorite style to tattoo is american traditional, and I also like to water color, though I'm just learning the latter. Now, I'm just going to jump right in and post up a few things from last week...

I did this piece on an awesome visitor from across the pond:

and here is a watercolor I did for my "tattoo daddy", Eric:

He's a huge Social Distortion fan...
